Yoga In Balance

Saturday Practice class:

This class is where we translate Balance principles into yoga asana, always remembering that sitting, standing, bending and walking can, in themselves, be postures where we find wholeness.

Expect to see images of human anatomy, of BKS Iyengar in Light on Yoga, and of people in Balance. These are prompts to imagination. What we can imagine, we can learn to feel in our bodies.
This work is slow and deep. We cultivate awareness and self-compassion.
Cost: $30 US per class, including GST where applicable

The props you need:

A foam roller. 18-inches is long enough.
A chair with a flat seat.
Something to support your buttocks when you sit. That might be a wedge, a wool roll, or a rolled-up hand towel.
A yoga mat or not-too slippery carpet.
The supports you need to sit well on the floor – blankets or pillows, chip foam blocks, wood or foam bricks.
Either a resistance band (the lowest intensity) a Theraband, or a yoga strap or necktie.
